Fraser Valley News—TEDxChilliwack is readying for their main event on April 13 at G.W. Graham Theatre. Twelve speakers, a handful of entertainers, and a day full of intriguing and entertaining talks will be shared by a large audience in the theatre, as well as interested TEDx fans from around the world, following along live on the internet.

Cloverdale Reporter—Longtime Cloverdale resident Dave Dinesen will be giving a talk on the future of agricultural technology at an upcoming TEDx conference in Chilliwack. Dinesen is the CEO of Langley-based Cubic Farm Systems Corp. His talk will focus on the opportunities that technology can give farmers and food-lovers to provide and consume locally grown produce.

Eight speakers chosen to speak “On Purpose” for TEDxChilliwack

The Chilliwack Progress—This year’s TEDxChilliwack event will tackle ideas about sustainable clothing, brain injury, farming and so much more. The theme for the popular idea-sharing event is “On Purpose,” and speakers have been chosen through a series of showcase nights. In total, 30 people stood up in front of an audience to encapsulate their ideas into a four-minute pitch.

The Valley Voice News—TEDxChilliwack held it’s first Applicant Showcase Night on January 24. Fifteen people from this year’s applicants took the stage for four minutes each. In their time on stage, they explained what their “idea worth sharing” was, why they are qualified to speak on it, and how it would encourage TEDxChilliwack attendees to take action.
